Press coverage

Hi all! We got some press recently in Jackson, which got picked up by the AP, which ended up on some local USAtoday web sites. See it on our Press/Reviews page. We've been getting some big crowds lately at the Jackson Coffee Company -- thanks to all!
Our recent participation in a benefit at The Ark in Ann Arbor was a big success. We played with Bonnie Rideout, Duck Baker, and Rev. Robert Jones in a benefit for the Breakfast at St. Andrews, a program that's been feeding the hungry in Ann Arbor every day for 27 years. We very nearly had a sellout crowd, despite the day's snowstorm. The organizer, Jim Cain, says we made $14,000 for the program. He had it professionally recorded, with video as well. Look for a CD of the event to come later this year.
See you on down the road!
Happy New Year!

February 11, 2010
So we're a little late with our new year greetings. It's a recurring theme in the Bill Bynum News -- we're too busy! Some day maybe we'll get to quit our day jobs but for now we'll just squeeze in updates when we can.
Our biggest upcoming event is BreakFest, a big fundraiser at The Ark in Ann Arbor to help feed the hungry. It benefits the Breakfast at St. Andrews. We share the stage with Duck Baker, the Rev. Robert Jones, Sr., and Bonnie Rideout. Our friend Jim Cain has been working hard to put this together. It's a great evening of music for a good cause. Come join the fun!
We've really enjoyed seeing so many of our fans at our recent shows. Thanks for braving the cold and dark to support us. As Bill always says, "without you, we're nuthin'." Truer words were never spoken.
Apple Season

September 12, 2009
Fall means apple pickin' time for Dave and his family at Keeney Orchard in Tipton, Michigan. Although it means we do fewer gigs in September and October, there are some benefits -- like great apple pies, and a little extra time to update the web site. How do you like the new look?
We had a great mini-tour of Western Michigan at the end of August, despite the cold, rainy weather. Aten Place at Boyne Falls was fantastic! It's a private, non-profit series of barn concerts--but this is no ordinary barn -- stage, lights, sound, old wooden auditorium seating, and a great audience. Many thanks to our hosts, Bill and Maxine!
The tour culminated with a repeat engagement at Grin Fest in Howard City. We played the late-night slot both Friday and Saturday to hard-core music fans braving the dampness.
See you on down the road!
New music!

May 14, 2009
We've been busy saving the world and slaying dragons, so web site updates kinda fell off the to-do list. But we've put away our capes and tights, and are back to pickin' and updatin'.
In just the last 3 weeks or so we've started performing a couple of new originals, a timely take on middle age called "Ain't Like I Used to Be" and a sentimental song called "Old Friend."
Bill was a big hit with these songs at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville recently.
We'll be performing them at The Ark May 29, along with a mix of older originals from our CD, and a selection of our favorite stuff from radioland. We hope to see you there.
Busy Summer

Howdeee!
The band's been hoppin' this summer. We've been working on some new songs -- Bill's latest kick is a new album by the Steeldrivers. We've incorporated some of their songs to the lineup, and are working on a new one of Bill's, which we hope to debut soon.
Bill played in the songwriter's showcase at the famed Bluebird Cafe in Nashville back in May, and they liked him so much he got invited back! We're right proud of him. (BTW, he's not writing this, in case you thought his head had gotten a little too big to fit through his fruit-of-the-looms!)
Our gig at the Trenton Theater was a big success. Thanks to all the folks who came out to see us, and the great people who helped us make it happen.
We're hoping for the same this Friday at The Ark in Ann Arbor. Come shake and howdy with us!
It's been a long Michigan winter. We've been working on some new tunes--a couple of originals plus some Steeldrivers covers. Dave's trimmed the apple trees in the Keeney Orchard, Mary moved to her new house, Chuck moved out of his basement where he lived while remodeling the house, and Bill's been busy booking the band.
And we finally got around to doing a new web site.
We're still working on the details, so check back to see our progress. For instance, Mary shot publicity photos of all of us a couple of months ago, but we forgot to wrest the camera from her clutches and shoot her. So we have Mary's pix but no pix of Mary.
We look forward to seeing you on down the road.
